- Here Comes Everybody, Clay Shirky — Clay explains how the increased availability and lowered cost of communication and organizing tools are making new ways of getting organized “different in kind” and not just “different in degree”.
- The Radical Leap, Steve Farber — An excellent book in an interesting format that will help bring energy and passion back to your work.
- Tribes, Seth Godin — A good, short book about finding your niche and and leading it well for the benefit of both your “tribe” and yourself.
- The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, John C. Maxwell — This book helped me focus on areas I need to improve if I want to have a more positive influence on others, both professionally and personally.
- Getting Things Done, David Allen — Even if you don’t follow his pattern completely (I don’t), this book can still help you develop some good, simple skills that really will keep you on top of what you want to do with your time.
- Cure for the Common Life, Max Lucado — Max has a great reminder that our purpose in life is to have a relationship with our Creator, and that each of us has a “sweet spot” where we can find real fulfillment in our work and life choices.
- Presentation Zen, Garr Reynolds — Get to the point, make it clear, connect well with your audience; some very key elements of effective presentations.
